It’s been a dozen years since a precocious Jack Skuller of Weehawken released his first single, “Love Is a Drum,” on Hoboken’s Bar-None Records at the ripe old age of 13.

“I had a choice, have a bar mitzvah or record a single,” Skuller said at the time.
