June 1: Vitalant will hold an El Dorado Hills Stadium 14 & IMAX Theater blood drive, noon to 5 p.m. at 2101 Vine St., El Dorado Hills. The Bloodmobile will be parked near the movie theater on the north side. Donors are encouraged to make an appointment at donors.vitalant.org and use blood drive code SMFM486 or call (877) 258-4825 and mention the same blood drive code. Walk-ins will be accommodated if space allows.

June 4: Enjoy a day of great music at the first Gold Hill Country Music Festival, noon to 10 p.m., 1140 Cold Springs Road in Placerville. Headliner Jackson Michelson will be joined by North Forty Country, Kenny Frye Band and Country Cougars. June 4: The Cameron Park Community Services District kicks off summer with a pool opening celebration, 6-8:30 p.m. Swim, eat and enjoy a movie at 2502 Country Club Drive in Cameron Park.
